“A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summer’s wave goodbye.” While the author of that quote may remain unknown, it is a sentiment we will all come to enjoy as we travel through the brilliant-hued colors of New
England in the fall. We’ll tour historic sites, find charming country gems, and discover the people and products that are proud to be “Made in America”. Our tour will take us through the quartet of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. Two nights at each hotel will allow us to enjoy their ambiance, while group dinners – including Maine lobster served fresh in Maine – will allow us to enjoy great company while we enjoy this spectacular corner of our magnificent country.
Day 1: Sunday, September 27, 2020 • Portland, ME
Today we fly to Beantown where we meet our local guide at the Logan International Airport. We travel to historic Salem, MA. You will have time to explore the Welcome Center and have lunch on your own. Following lunch, we visit the Salem Witch Museum to learn about the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 and 1693. We make a stop at Stonewall Kitchens where you can see the production of their delicious jams and sample many of their fine products. We make our overnight at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. A delicious dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2: Monday, September 28, 2020 • Portland, ME
Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Free time to explore the harbor and do a little shopping. We board the Portland Harbor Lighthouse boat cruise where you will enjoy the scenic beauty of Maine’s rocky coastline along with fabulous lighthouses. We continue to Freeport (Home of LL Bean) for a little shopping and lunch on your own. Enjoy an afternoon visit to the Maine Maritime Museum and conclude our day with a traditional Maine Lobster Dinner. (B, Lobster Dinner)
Day 3: Tuesday, September 29, 2020 • Lincoln, NH
Breakfast is served at the hotel. We say good-bye to Maine and begin our journey to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We board the Conway Scenic Notch Train for a 2.5-hour journey through the mountains. A picnic lunch served on the train during our journey. Disembark the train at Crawford Notch and travel to Bretton Woods, NH. Picture stop overlooking the Mount Washington Grand Hotel. Depart for Lincoln, NH and the Mountain Club on Loon. The bus will drop the group at the base
of the Gondola – bus will continue to the hotel to unload bags. Enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the summit of Loon Mountain for spectacular views. Check into the Mountain Club on Loon. Buffet dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. Relax and enjoy the rest of your evening. (B,D)
Day 4: Wednesday, September 30, 2020 • Lincoln, NH
Breakfast is served at the hotel. We depart for Canterbury Shaker Village. Visit the historic Canterbury Shaker Village with their many buildings as you learn about their ways of life. We depart for the Mills Falls Marketplace. Lunch on your own at the Mills Falls Marketplace. Visit the Keller Haus Ice Cream and Candy Shop for an afternoon treat. We enjoy a beautiful afternoon cruise on Squam Lake (On Golden Pond). Dinner is served at the Common Man Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 5: Thursday, October 1, 2020 • Cavendish, VT
Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning. We depart for Quechee, VT. Picture stop at Quechee Gorge known as Vermont’s “Little Grand Canyon”. Visit the shops at Quechee Gorge Village home to Cabot Cheese. We depart for downtown Woodstock, VT. Lunch and shopping on your own in the charming village. This afternoon we visit the historic Billings Farm and Museum where you can enjoy a visit to the working barns, the 1890 farmhouse and the fabulous agriculture museum. Depart for Cavendish, VT. Check in at The Pointe Hotel at Castle Hill Resort and Spa for the next two evenings. Welcome Reception of Cider and Cookies. Dinner is served at the Castle this evening. (B,D)

Day 6: Friday, October 2, 2020 • Cavendish, VT
Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning. Depart for Waterbury, VT and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you will see the production of their wonderful cider and sample many of their other fine products. Visit this charming store and enjoy the tasty samples. Next we travel to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory where we enjoy a guided tour of the factory including a tasty sample of Vermont’s famous ice cream. Depart for Montpelier, VT – Vermont’s capital city. Lunch and shopping on your own – be sure to visit the State House. Our final stop takes us to the Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks where we learn the process of making maple syrup followed by a traditional sugar-on-snow. Return to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. Dinner is served at the Pointe Hotel this evening to include a delicious Turkey Dinner with all the fixings. (B,D)
Day 7: Saturday, October 3, 2020 • Boston, MA
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Depart for Bellows Falls and the Vermont Country Store which is full of unique gifts. Depart for South Deerfield, MA and the Yankee Candle Factory. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your own at the Yankee Candle Factory. This afternoon we visit the JFK Memorial and Museum where we will learn the Kennedy history in Massachusetts. Late afternoon arrival at our Boston hotel. Dinner is included this evening at a popular Boston North End Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 8: Sunday, October 4, 2020 • Boston, MA
Breakfast is included this morning. This morning we will enjoy a guided driving tour of Boston to include the Boston Common, the Public Garden, the Old State House, the State House, the Swan Boats, Cheer’s Pub and much more. We conclude our tour with a stop at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market where you can enjoy lunch and shopping on your own. This afternoon we will enjoy a short walking tour of the North End to include the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church. The rest of the day is free for you to explore some of the other highlights of the city. Dinner is on your own this evening. (Your guide will help you with restaurant choices) (B)
