16 DAY CAPITALS OF CENTRAL EUROPE

Marvel at the timeless beauty, charm and majesty of the capitals of Central Europe: Berlin, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava and Prague.  These jewels of the Old World are a rich blend of mystery, romance and history while also serving as centers of modern European culture.

Your first stop on this journey is the city of Eisenach, which houses the Wartburg Castle within the Thuringian Forest, where Martin Luther translated the New Testament into German. This is also the birthplace of the renowned Johann Sebastian Bach.  Onto Leipzig, Wittenberg and Berlin for a 2 night stay.  The Berlin tour features the landmarks of the Reichstag Building, Brandenburg Gate and the site of Checkpoint Charlie.

The next stop on your tour itinerary is Dresden and onto Poland.  Krakow is known as the leading cultural and artistic center of Poland and will be your location for the next two nights while you view Market Square, Jagiellonian University and Wawel Castle.

The drive through Slovakia and into Budapest in Hungary will be full of scenic beauty.  Enjoy the informative sightseeing of both Buda on the Danube’s west bank, and Pest on its east bank.

Vienna is your next stop where you will experience this unconventional and avant-garde city of dramatic imperial palaces, cobbled alleyways and cozy coffeehouses.  Also included is a guided tour of the Melk Abbey along the banks of the Danube River.

While in Prague, enjoy sightseeing with a local guide.  Also included on this tour are Nuremberg, the Franconian Wine Region, Wurzburg and Rüdesheim!
